Seed Library
The OPPL Seed Library is located in the Lobby near the Lucky Day and Patron Holds shelves.
At the Orland Park Public Library’s ‘Seed Library’, the process is as easy as planting a seed. Simply swing by and peruse our collection of seeds, each carefully categorized and labeled for your convenience.
Choose the ones that speak to you and your gardening goals, whether it’s vibrant veggies, fragrant herbs, or colorful blooms. There’s no need to worry about due dates or fines here; it’s all about nurturing growth at your own pace.
Once you’ve selected your seeds, feel free to check out any relevant books on seed starting or gardening techniques from our library (the Nonfiction 635 section) to enhance your growing experience. We’re here to support you every step of the way, from seed to harvest. Happy planting!

No. The Seed Library Collection does not require checking anything out, nor do you need a library card.
We invite you to take the seeds you know you will use. There are other patrons excited about the seeds and we want to make sure they get a chance to see our selection as well.
