Our Outreach staff is committed to bringing Orland Park Public Library to the Orland Park community.

We offer services, such as offsite materials browsing, community event tabling, resources for second language learners, dementia care support, home delivery services, and community art displays.

  • Displays:

  • Gallery Wall (Artist of the Month):

  • New Chapter Book Club:

  • English Conversation Group:
    An informal, mixed level group, guided by a teacher. Anyone with a basic working knowledge of English can attend. Childcare is not available, but parents or caregivers may bring young children who can occupy themselves during the program.English Conversation Group meets Tuesdays at 10:00-11:00 a.m.Curious about other ENL resources?

  • Memory Cafe:
    A social gathering for people living with Alzheimer’s and related dementia and their care partners. Each session includes an activity and gives participants a chance to enjoy time together. Offered in partnership with Pathlight’s Senior Services.
  • Dementia Caregiver Support Group:
    Designed for those caring for a loved one with dementia. Come to relax, share, learn, and get connected to fellow caregivers and local experts. This class is exclusively for caregivers.

    Orland Park Public Library brings lightly used and withdrawn library materials for Metra station users and visitors to browse and take for FREE.

  • Coffee Shops (Haraz & Stan’s Donuts)
    Orland Park Public Library brings new materials, magazines, and newspapers for coffee shop visitors to browse and check out.

  • Market in the Park
    Orland Park Public Library annually tables at Orland Park’s Market at the Park.
    Visit us, while you shop for artisanal and handmade arts, crafts, and tasty treats.This year’s Market in the Park season is from June 6 to August 15
  • Taste of Orland Park
    Orland Park Public Library annually tables at the Taste of Orland.
    Make sure to visit the library’s table during the taste.

    • Corporate library cards are available for businesses with property located within the Village of Orland Park.
    • OPPL Benefits for Businesses:
      • Check out materials such as books, magazines, CDS, DVDs, Blu-ray, and e-resources
      • Attend library programs and computer classes
      • Reserve a meeting room for non-commercial use
    • Interested? To get a card we will need to know the following:
      • The nature of your business/nonprofit
      • The name of the employee authorized to use the business library card.
      • A signature from the business or organizations president, owner, or managers.
