Computer Volunteer- (High School Only)
Volunteers will assist with YS computers and earn community service hours. Computer duties include: releasing print jobs, filling copier paper, and assisting children and teens with basic internet questions, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Teens must commit to one 3 hour shift in the evening for 8 weeks. Check our newsletter for registration opportunities.
Readers and Leaders- (High School Only)
This one-on-one program partners high school students with preschool children to participate in hands-on activities to encourage early literacy. Teens must commit to all four sessions. Check our newsletter for registration opportunities.
Book Buddies- (High School Only)
This one-on-one program partners high school students with children ages 3 through kindergarten to participate in the enjoyment of reading. Teens must commit to every session. Check our newsletter for registration dates.
Miscellaneous Tasks - (Grades 6-12)
This is ideal for teens who are looking to volunteer for a couple hours rather than for a longer time commitment. Teens will be scheduled a few hours at a time to assist with a variety of tasks in different departments throughout the library. You may pick up a Teen Volunteer Application at the library or submit your application electronically.
