Library presents Fighting Slavery in Chicago

Orland Park Public Library will be hosting author, Tom Campbell, on Tuesday, February 6 at 7 p.m. Campbell is the author of the book “Fighting Slavery in Chicago”.
Campbell will give an account of the role of Chicago's abolitionists as they fought the Fugitive Slave Law. He will explain how Chicagoan's rallied together to form the Chicago Chapter of the Anti-Slavery Society and how important Chicago's role was in this historic decision.
