Orland Park Public Library presents The British Bulldog

Jan. 20, 2018
People who enjoyed Netflix’s 2017 series “The Crown”, which follows Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, may enjoy a presentation at Orland Park Public Library about Winston Churchill given on Valentine’s Day at 7 p.m. in room 104.
Presenter and CEO of the Churchill Centre, Daniel Myers, will talk about Churchill’s life. Sir Winston Churchill was a British writer, military leader, statesman, and most notably, the elected Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1940 to 1945 and 1951 to 1955. This presentation focuses on Churchill’s leadership principles using the words and actions of this great wartime leader.
Myers gives his take on Churchill, aided by rare photos, Churchill’s writings, and speeches given by the former Prime Minister of Great Britain.
“With the rise in interest in the British monarchy since the announcement of the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, we thought this was a great time to bring in a British history presenter,” said Head of Outreach Kelly Cuci.
