Coloring Club returns to Orland Park Public Library
Aug. 20, 2017
Stressed out and need an outlet? Coloring reduces stress and provides a means of creative expression, and with the rising trend of new, more engaging coloring books for adults, it’s not just for kids anymore. In fact, some are saying that coloring may have begun with adults.
Join the Coloring Club at Orland Park Public Library starting on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 8 also at 7 p.m. The library provides the coloring utensils and the books, and patrons provide the camaraderie.
This event is perfect for patrons who enjoy doing crafts at the library. Coloring Club is held in meeting room 104.
Library patrons interested in coloring at the library might also be interested in the other crafts for adults happening this fall. On Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. librarians from the second floor reference desk will be leading a craft to create book wreaths in meeting room 104. On Monday, Oct. 9 at the same time in the same place, librarians will be leading an adult craft to create book frames. Patrons are encouraged to bring in an invitation, picture, or other memento to frame. Supplies will be provided.
Patrons interested in learning more about these opportunities and more are encouraged to call the library at 708-428-5100 or visit the library at 14921 Ravinia Avenue in Orland Park, IL 60462. Hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
These events are free. No registration is needed, and patrons can come to as many or few events as they like.
