Library offers “Blind Date with a Book”

Jan. 10, 2017
(Orland Park, IL) – Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Orland Park Public will be offering a new type of book mystery.
Patrons who often judge a book by its cover are invited to stop by the Adult Reference Desk on the second floor of the library to choose a “date” from a collection of wrapped books.
The books are wrapped in brown paper to hide their identities. Only a few details about the book are revealed on the outside of the book. This encourages patrons to try reading books they otherwise might have passed on.
The Orland Park Public Library is located at 14921 Ravinia Avenue in Orland Park, IL 60462. Hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, go to
