Out & About

Get Ready...Set...Goooo!

Get your gear on and score big points with the Outreach Team Thursdays in May, June, and July. Check out our Spring Training Days and learn about basketball, soccer, baseball, ice skating, dancing, football, and swimming. Children through 4th grade are welcome. No registration is required. For more information, call Outreach staff at 708-428-5114. Programs may be cancelled due to inclement weather.

Farmer's Market

Entertaining stories and fun art projects will take place under the library tent every Friday at the Village of Orland Park Farmer's Market held at the Civic Center on Ravinia Avenue. Children through 4th grade are welcome to drop in between 10:00am and 12:30pm on Fridays, June 6th-August 22th. No registration is required.

Outreach Computer Classes at Smith Crossing

Outreach staff conducts twice monthly basic computer classes at Smith Crossing Assisted Living Facility. Course offerings included this month are Computer Basics and Library Databases. If you would like computer classes brought to your assisted living facility, call Outreach Services staff at 708-428-5114.

Nursing Home and Township Visits

Welcome Brighton Gardens to the list of assisted living facilities currently served by Orland Park Public Library Outreach Services Staff. Along with Brighton Gardens, we visit Alden Prairie Village and Smith Crossing assisted living facilities twice monthly. We also make scheduled visits to the Orland Township Senior Drop-in Center and the Orland Park Cultural Center. If your loved one is residing in an assisted living facility and would like to receive library materials call 708-428-5114.

Homebound Service

The Outreach Services Department offers homebound service to Orland Park Public Library cardholders. This service is available to those who are temporarily or permanently homebound. If you would like library materials delivered to your home, please use our online form or contact Kelly Cuci, Head of Outreach Services at 708-428-5114 or by e-mail at kcuci(at)orlandparklibrary.org. Kelly and her staff will be happy to assist you in selecting materials.
