Recycled Reads

Friends also sponsor RECYCLED READS, an ever-changing selection of used books available for purchase, located to your left as you enter the building. The proceeds from the sale of these high-quality, low-priced books are used to purchase a wide variety of materials, equipment and services for the library. To accommodate demand, RECYCLED READS has expanded its shelf space to give patrons more great choices! Don't forget, we also sell sturdy canvas tote bags to carry all your bargains home.

The Friends now offer Recycled Reads Gift Certificates. The gift certificates make a great gift for any occasion. They can be in any dollar amount and are available at the Circulation Desk.

Look for the Friends paperback book racks at the Orland Park Metra train stations. Commuters are welcome to take these books to enhance their train commute. People are also encouraged to use this forum as a paperback exchange if desired.

The Friends are always looking for gently used hardback and paperbacks to replenish their RECYCLED READS shelves. Patrons are welcome to bring in their bags/boxes of books at the Information Desk. If you need assistance with your donation, we ask that you call us at 708-428-5100 in advance for help.
